“The majority of people who have first hand information about our past somehow may try to use that as a weapon against our faith..”

Often times we are derailed by our past which takes precedence over our current lives. The majority of people who have first hand information about our past somehow may try to use that as a weapon against our faith.

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

Apostle Paul says that I have been crucified with Christ and its no longer I who lives, but it is Christ. Your former self is dead, the person now living is a new you. Jesus Christ took away all the shame when He was born in a manger, He took away all the pain when He was crucified at the Cross of Calvari.

Your life should not be conformed to the patterns of this world and your former past, but as your life has been completely transformed, you focus should be on Christ. Do not waste too much energy on people who dig your past and the things you did because thats not who you are anymore. You have been crucified with Christ, it is no longer the old you (a sinner) who lives but Christ living in you. You have been given a new character, a new attitude, a new heart and a new mind through the redemptive work of the Cross.

Apostle Paul says that i forget the former things and focus on what lies ahead. My focus is now on Jesus which is why I am pressing on towards the mark of the high calling. To keep your faith strong you should not focus on the negative things of your life but rather your focus should be on God
